What's with the legacy trying to appeal to a younger audience? I'm saying it because of this video and the roadkill one. Makes more sense to market the WRX/STi.

A few reasons. First and foremost, Subaru doesn't want to trust internet hooligans with a more expensive car.
That aside, a lot of mid-20-somethings can't quite afford a WRX, or don't want to suffer the MPG loss (because they're idiots), but want AWD so they won't get a Camry, Accord, or Fusion. Subaru wants people to feel good that they made a unique, but well-informed and responsible decision in purchasing the car. The WRX doesn't quite scream 'responsible'.
The WRX may be the one they end up buying, but the advertisement wouldn't work as much with it in there.

Because it's seen as a more mature Impreza? Because more interior space?

More AWD cars on the road = win.

I find anyone throwing anything more than looks at my car, I'll be throwing punches at their face, repeatedly. I'm not aggressive but she's my pride and joy and she loves looking her best.

what if they were throwing cash (notes) or supermodels?

If the bank notes or supermodels scratched or scuffed the paint I would but if not I'd say finders keepers and take them home (again bank notes or supermodels).

supermodels don't weight enough to scratch paint. and I meant to imply they were throwing themselves figuratively...
because if someone threw someone else at my car (regardless of their model status) I'd probably get my fisticuffs out too.

Their boney bums may leave a small indentation if they hit the car hard enough. :D
I've found two pin-prick size 'dings' (one each side) in both of my rear doors and they are virtually invisible but because I know they are there, they stand out like a beacon taunting me.

my old green MR2 got rear-ended, took 8 weeks to get repaired and repainted, and then a week later it caught a trolley to the rear bumper.
I was livid for weeks. Doesn't matter now though, I got rear-ended again at a high enough speed to write it (and nearly me) off.

Oh my god that's awful. Shocking lead time for a repair. I often see cars go in for repair within two days and out a week later or two weeks if waiting for parts.
I was in a mate's car that got rear ended, I'm not kidding, four hours after getting his car. We drove up to Edinburgh to swap a Honda Civic (he hated) for an E46 330 tourer. Got her home then an idiot hit the back of his car. This is his fiance didn't know he was getting a new car and they were supposed to meet at the hotel to arrange wedding reception details and had to meet us on way for us to say we'd be late. Oops.
Why if a person who can't respect their own car can they not just understand we might actually care and love ours and sod off with their stupid antics.
I know my policy would have a new car for me within 24 hours should the worst come to the worst but I'd still be fuming and livid then go through a horrendous case of loss if it happened.
I've just looked out my window to see she's okay.

the insurance company refused to let the repairer use non-OEM parts and the wait time was on a new muffler from Japan.. even though Toyota had them in stock locally.
Oh your poor mate, wagons are hardly ever right after a rear-ender either.

What a douchy insurance company. I think many that I've dealt with in the past have been open to what the repairer suggested and only bothered about the cost and even then not that much as they'd recoup it from the other driver.
Of all the ones I've spoken to, all they wanted was either several quotes or wanted me to use one of their approved repair shops but have been okay with me objecting due to the suggested places quality of work, etc...
Thankfully it wasn't too bad, slight structural damage to the rear left quarter but only needed pulling and parts remounted and painted. He went back to a BMW coupe four months later as he didn't need anything as 'economical' as the 330 and could afford to blow a few more £s into the tank.

It definitely looks better than the Impreza sedan, which is not very good looking. They should market the levorg instead of the Legacy.
